Who manages your information

Elena manages this English-learning service under the name Elena’s English Class at elenasenglishclass.com. For questions about your information, contact smartgrade2020@gmail.com or use the contact options on the website.

Signing in with Google

Google verifies your identity through Supabase, our sign-in provider. We use your Google account identifier, name and email address to create and recognise your student account. Google’s sign-in screen also lists basic profile information, including your profile photo; the student records on this website store your name and email, not a copy of that photo.

We do not receive or store your Google password. The student sign-in flow does not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files, contacts or Google Calendar.

Learning, bookings and payments

Your account records include purchased offers, lesson access, lesson progress, speaking credits, credit expiry dates, bookings and attendance or cancellation status. Elena can add a corrected name in the teacher dashboard and private notes explaining manual credit adjustments.

Stripe processes payments. The website stores payment references, amounts, currency and purchased access so it can allocate credits and manage memberships. Card details are entered in Stripe Checkout; this website does not store full card numbers.

Why we use this information

We use account and purchase information to provide the programme you choose, recognise your account, unlock lessons, manage credits, organise sessions and answer your requests. This processing is necessary to provide your account and purchased services. Payment records are also used to meet applicable accounting obligations. Security and activity records help protect accounts, investigate errors and prevent misuse.

Resend sends service emails such as welcomes, eligible session announcements, booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations and credit updates. These emails use your name, email and the relevant account or booking details. Student Google information is not used for advertising, sold, or used to train artificial-intelligence models.

Who receives information

Elena can see the student information needed to teach and manage the programme. ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare provide hosting and website storage; Google and Supabase provide sign-in; Stripe handles payments; Resend handles service email; and Google Meet hosts teaching sessions. Each provider receives the information needed for its part of the service and also operates under its own privacy terms.

Some providers operate internationally and may process information outside the European Economic Area. Contact Elena for information about the providers and transfer safeguards relevant to your account. Your account information is not published in a public student directory. People attending a group session may see your name and the information you choose to share in that session.

Cookies and browser storage

Secure sign-in cookies keep your student session available and return you to the correct page after login. Sign out to clear the website’s student sign-in cookies. Some learning activities store preferences or practice progress in your browser; clearing browser storage may remove that local progress. Google, Stripe and Google Meet also use their own cookies when you visit their services.

Retention and account requests

Account and learning records are kept while they are needed to operate your account and purchased services. Contact Elena if you want to close your account or request deletion. Records needed for accounting, payment disputes or other legal obligations may need to be retained separately.

A profile removed from the teacher’s directory is hidden from that directory; it does not itself delete the student account, cancel a membership or erase payment records.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy, and object to processing where the applicable rules allow. Contact smartgrade2020@gmail.com from the email associated with your student account. We may need to verify your identity before handling a request.

You can also remove the application’s connection from your Google account settings. This does not automatically cancel a paid membership or remove the school’s account records; manage renewal in My account or contact Elena. If you have a concern about personal-data handling, you can contact France’s data-protection authority, the CNIL.
